Is Blind Listening Test really free?

Yes. Both the web version and the VST3/AU plugin are free, with no account, login, or payment.

Are my audio files uploaded anywhere?

No. All loudness analysis and playback happen locally — in the plugin on your computer, or in your browser when using the web version. Your audio files are never uploaded to or stored on any server.

What audio formats are supported?

WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and MP3.

What is the difference between the web version and the plugin?

They share the same features and loudness matching. The plugin runs inside a DAW as a VST3 or AU instrument; the web version runs in your browser with nothing to install.

Can I run Blind Listening Test as a standalone app?

No. The plugin is provided as VST3 and AU only and must be loaded inside a compatible DAW or plugin host. The web version at blindlisteningtest.com works without a DAW.

How do the exported files keep their names hidden?

Exported files are named by letter (A.wav, B.wav, etc.) with the original name stored inside the file. Use Reveal Exported Files in the main menu to see the original name at any time.
